- 1 onion, diced
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, sliced
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 4 cups beef broth
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- Optional garnish: fresh parsley
