Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, chopped
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned.
- Add onion, garlic, and bell peppers and cook until vegetables are tender.
- Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, chili powder, cumin, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Simmer for 10 minutes.
- Spread half of the beef mixture in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Sprinkle with half of the cheese.
- Repeat layers with remaining beef mixture and cheese.
- Bake for 20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
