Ideal for both weeknight dinners and special holiday meals, this dish is as satisfying as it is easy to make. With quick preparation and simple ingredients, even novice cooks can achieve a gourmet taste that everyone will love.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
  • 4 slices bacon, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 tsp. thyme, dried
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

  2. 2

In a large oven-safe skillet, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crisp, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.

  3. 3

Add Brussels sprouts to the skillet with the bacon grease. Cook until they start to brown, about 6 minutes, then add garlic and cook for an additional minute.

  4. 4

Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese, half of the cheddar, thyme, salt, and pepper.

  5. 5

Sprinkle the remaining cheddar and half of the cooked bacon over the top.

  6. 6

Transfer the skillet to the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.

  7. 7

Garnish with the rest of the bacon and serve hot.

Chef's tip

Feel free to substitute the cheeses with your favorites or add a sprinkle of chili flakes for an extra kick.
