Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • 1 can tomato sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat.
  • Add onion, red bell pepper, and green bell pepper to the skillet. Cook until vegetables are tender.
  • Stir in diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, oregano, basil, salt, and black pepper.
  • Simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Transfer mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the top of the beef mixture.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes.
  • Top with dollops of sour cream and chopped fresh parsley before serving.
