Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/2 cup ghee
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 1 tbsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh cilantro, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat the ghee over medium-high heat.
  • Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  • Add the onion, garlic, and ginger to the skillet and cook until softened, about 3 minutes.
  • Add the garam masala, turmeric, paprika, and cayenne pepper to the skillet and cook for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  • Add the tomato sauce and heavy cream to the skillet and stir to combine.
  • Return the chicken to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
  • Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
  • Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  • Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot.
