Ingredients
- 1 lb ground lamb
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 1 tbsp garam masala
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp coriander
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- 1 can diced tomatoes
- 1 cup frozen peas
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 9 lasagne noodles
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large skillet, cook lamb, onion, garlic, and ginger over medium heat until lamb is browned and onion is tender.
- Stir in garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, cinnamon, and cayenne pepper.
- Add tomatoes and peas; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes.
- In a small bowl, combine ricotta cheese, Parmesan cheese, egg, and cilantro.
- Spread 1 cup lamb mixture in a greased 13x9-in. baking dish.
- Layer with three noodles, 1-1/2 cups lamb mixture, 1/2 cup ricotta mixture and 2/3 cup mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat layers twice.
- Cover and bake for 45 minutes.
- Uncover; bake until bubbly, 10-15 minutes longer.
- Let stand for 10 minutes before serving.
