Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 burger buns
- 4 lettuce leaves
- 4 tomato slices
- 4 onion slices
- 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
- 4 tablespoons ketchup
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, onion, garlic, cumin, coriander, turmeric, garam masala, cayenne pepper, cilantro, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
- Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.
- Heat a grill or skillet over medium heat. Cook the patties for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
- Spread mayonnaise on the bottom half of each bun, followed by ketchup.
- Place a lettuce leaf on top of the sauce, followed by a tomato slice and an onion slice.
- Place a cooked patty on top of the vegetables.
- Cover with the top half of the bun.
- Serve the burgers hot with your favorite side dishes.
