About this recipe

These succulent barbecue ribs are perfect for any occasion, featuring a smoky, savory glaze that will leave your guests asking for more. Enjoy the convenience of oven-roasting followed by a quick broil for that perfect crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 racks (about 4 pounds) baby back ribs
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat your oven to 275°F (135°C).

  2. 2

Remove the membrane from the ribs using a knife and paper towel for better flavor penetration.

  3. 3

Mix brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.

  4. 4

Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the ribs.

  5. 5

Place the ribs on a baking sheet, cover with foil, and bake for 90 minutes until tender.

  6. 6

Preheat your broiler, brush the ribs with barbecue sauce, and broil for 5-7 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.

  7. 7

Let the ribs rest for a few minutes before slicing and serving with extra barbecue sauce on the side.

Chef's tip

For an extra smoky flavor, consider using a smoker if available, or add a few drops of liquid smoke to the barbecue sauce.
