Ingredients

  • 2 large sweet potatoes
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Wash and peel the sweet potatoes, then cut them into small cubes.
  • Place the sweet potato cubes in a large pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes and return them to the pot.
  • Add the brown sugar, butter, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt to the pot with the sweet potatoes.
