- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts (optional)
- Additional powdered sugar for rolling
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, combine the flour and salt. Gradually add the flour mixture to the butter mixture, mixing well after each addition.
- If desired, stir in the chopped nuts.

- Once cooled, roll the cookies in powdered sugar again for a snowy appearance.
