Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup cooked rice
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh mint
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh basil
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh oregano
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh thyme
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh rosemary
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh sage
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh marjoram
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh tarragon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh chives

Instructions

  • In a large skillet, heat some oil over medium heat.
  • Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet and cook until softened.
  • Add the ground lamb to the skillet and cook until browned.
  • Stir in the cumin, paprika, cinnamon, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper.
  • Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until the spices are fragrant.
  • Remove the skillet from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a large bowl, combine the cooked rice, chopped fresh herbs, and the cooked lamb mixture.
  • Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Form the mixture into small patties or meatballs.
  • Heat some oil in a separate skillet over medium heat.
  • Cook the patties or meatballs in the skillet until browned on all sides and cooked through.
  • Serve hot with your favorite side dishes.
