Ingredients
- 1 kg chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 onions, finely chopped
- 3 tomatoes, pureed
- 2 green chilies, sliced
- 1 tablespoon ginger paste
- 1 tablespoon garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- Salt to taste
- Oil for cooking
Instructions
- Heat oil in a karahi or deep pan.
- Add chopped onions and sauté until golden brown.
- Add ginger paste and garlic paste, and cook for a minute.
- Add chicken pieces and cook until they are browned.
- Add pureed tomatoes, green chilies, red chili powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well.
- Cover the pan and let the chicken cook on low heat for about 20 minutes or until it is tender.
- Add yogurt and mix well. Cook for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
