This recipe features a juicy beef patty seasoned with traditional Asian sauces, topped with fresh herbs and bean sprouts, all nestled in a soft bun. It's a delightful way to enjoy familiar flavors with a unique twist.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 4 brioche burger buns
  • Fresh herbs (cilantro, basil, mint)
  • 1 cup bean sprouts
  • Lime wedges
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

  1. 1

Mix ground beef with fish sauce, soy sauce, hoisin sauce, and sriracha. Form into four patties.

  2. 2

Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, and ginger; sauté until fragrant.

  3. 3

Cook patties in the skillet for about 5 minutes on each side or until desired doneness.

  4. 4

Lightly toast the brioche buns in a separate pan.

  5. 5

Place each beef patty on a bun. Top with fresh herbs and bean sprouts.

  6. 6

Squeeze lime juice over the top and serve immediately.

Chef's tip

For a spicier kick, add more sriracha. Adjust the herb quantities to suit your taste.
