Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 4 cloves
  • 4 burger buns
  • Toppings: bean sprouts, fresh basil leaves, lime wedges, sliced jalapenos, hoisin sauce, sriracha

Directions

    Mix ground beef with onion, garlic, ginger, fish sauce, soy sauce, and sugar. Form into 4 patties.
