This savory pastry is a delicious blend of spinach and feta cheese wrapped in flaky phyllo dough. Perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner!
Nutrition Per Serving
- 1 package phyllo dough
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound fresh spinach, chopped
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Add onion and garlic and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.
- Add spinach and cook until wilted, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in feta cheese, parsley, dill, salt, and pepper.
- Unroll phyllo dough and cover with a damp towel to prevent drying out. Brush one sheet of phyllo with melted butter and place another sheet on top. Repeat until you have 6 layers of phyllo.
- Spread spinach mixture over phyllo, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges. Roll up tightly, tucking in the ends as you go. Brush with melted butter.
- Place on a baking sheet and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
