This modern take on oatmeal combines the classic comfort of rolled oats with a delicious medley of fruits and nuts. Simple to prepare and naturally sweetened, it’s the perfect way to start your day full of energy and nutrition.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk
  • 1 banana, sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

    Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.

    Stir in 1 cup rolled oats and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Reduce heat to low.

    Simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened.

    Stir in 1/2 cup unsweetened almond milk and 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.

    Add sliced banana and cook for another 2 minutes.
