Ingredients
- 2 cups whole wheat flour
- 1 cup grated paneer
- 1/2 cup finely chopped onions
- 1/4 cup finely chopped coriander leaves
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Salt to taste
- Ghee or oil for cooking
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the whole wheat flour and salt. Gradually add water and knead to form a soft dough. Cover and let it rest for 15-20 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, mix together the grated paneer, chopped onions, coriander leaves, cumin powder, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt.
- Divide the dough into small equal-sized balls. Take one ball and roll it into a small circle.
- Place a spoonful of the paneer filling in the center of the circle. Bring the edges together and seal the filling inside the dough.
- Gently roll out the stuffed dough ball into a larger circle, taking care not to let the filling come out.
- Heat a tawa or griddle over medium heat. Place the rolled parantha on the hot tawa and cook until golden brown spots appear on one side.
- Flip the parantha and cook the other side in the same way. Apply ghee or oil on both sides while cooking.
- Remove from heat and serve hot with yogurt, pickle, or any chutney of your choice.
