Ingredients

  • 500g hand-pulled noodles
  • 300g beef or lamb, thinly sliced
  • 2 onions, thinly sliced
  • 2 bell peppers, thinly sliced
  • 2 carrots, julienned
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • 1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pan or wok over high heat.
  • 2. Add the sliced onions and cook until they are soft and translucent.
  • 3. Add the minced garlic and cook for another minute.
  • 4. Add the sliced beef or lamb and cook until it is browned and cooked through.
  • 5. Add the sliced bell peppers and julienned carrots to the pan and cook until they are slightly softened.
  • 6. In a separate pot, cook the hand-pulled noodles according to the package instructions.
  • 7. Drain the noodles and add them to the pan with the vegetables and meat.
  • 8. Add the soy sauce, vinegar, ground cumin, paprika, salt, and pepper to the pan and stir well to combine.
  • 9. Cook for another 2-3 minutes, until everything is heated through and well combined.
  • 10. Serve the Uzbek fried lagman hot, garnished with fresh herbs if desired.
