Ingredients
- 10 fresh toenails
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 carrots, chopped
- 2 celery stalks, chopped
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 6 cups chicken broth
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 1 bay leaf
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Clean and trim the toenails, removing any dirt or debris.
- In a large pot, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the onion and garlic and sauté until softened.
- Add the carrots and celery and cook for 5 minutes.
- Add the chicken broth, toenails, thyme, rosemary, bay leaf, salt, and pepper.
- Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1 hour.
- Remove the bay leaf and discard.
- Using an immersion blender, blend the soup until smooth.
- Serve hot with crusty bread.
