Ingredients
- 1 package ladyfingers
- 1/2 cup strong coffee
- 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 8 oz mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Cocoa powder for dusting
Instructions
- 1. Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool.
- 2. In a small bowl, mix together the coffee and coffee liqueur.
- 3. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
- 4. In another bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- 5. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
- 6. Dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture and layer them in the bottom of a trifle dish.
- 7. Spoon a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers.
- 8. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of mascarpone mixture.
- 9. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
- 10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
