Ingredients

  • 1 package ladyfingers
  • 1/2 cup strong coffee
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 8 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  • 1. Brew a strong cup of coffee and let it cool.
  • 2. In a small bowl, mix together the coffee and coffee liqueur.
  • 3. In a large bowl, beat the heavy cream until stiff peaks form.
  • 4. In another bowl, beat the mascarpone cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  • 5. Fold the whipped cream into the mascarpone mixture.
  • 6. Dip the ladyfingers into the coffee mixture and layer them in the bottom of a trifle dish.
  • 7. Spoon a layer of the mascarpone mixture on top of the ladyfingers.
  • 8. Repeat the layers until all the ingredients are used up, ending with a layer of mascarpone mixture.
  • 9. Dust the top with cocoa powder.
  • 10. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before serving.
