Ingredients

  • 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
  • 1 cup yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
  • 2 tablespoons red chili powder
  • 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
  • 1 tablespoon garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon cumin powder
  • 1 tablespoon coriander powder
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs
  • Salt to taste
  • Cooking spray or brush of oil

Directions

  1. 1

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. 2

In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, spices, lemon juice, and salt to create a marinade.

  3. 3

Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, mixing until well coated. Let it rest for 10-15 minutes.

  4. 4

Toss the marinated chicken with flour to ensure even coating.

  5. 5

Dip each piece into the beaten egg, then roll in panko breadcrumbs.

  6. 6

Arrange chicken pieces on the baking sheet and lightly spray or brush with oil.

  7. 7

Bake for 20-25 minutes, turning halfway, until golden and crispy.

  8. 8

Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney.

Chef's tip

For a spicier kick, add extra chili powder to the marinade. Adjust baking time based on chicken size.
