Ingredients
- 500g boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
- 2 tablespoons red chili powder
- 1 tablespoon turmeric powder
- 1 tablespoon garam masala
- 1 tablespoon cumin powder
- 1 tablespoon coriander powder
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, lemon juice, and salt. Mix well to make a marinade.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and mix until all the pieces are well coated. Cover the bowl and let the chicken marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight in the refrigerator for best results.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully drop the marinated chicken pieces into the oil, a few at a time. Fry until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes.
- Remove the chicken popcorn from the oil using a slotted spoon and drain on a paper towel-lined plate to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce or chutney. Enjoy!
