Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup chopped jalapeno peppers
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 burger buns
  • 1 avocado
  • 1 lime
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, chopped jalapeno peppers, garlic powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
  • Form the mixture into 4 patties.
  • Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook the burgers for 4-5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • While the burgers are cooking, prepare the guacamole wedges. Cut the avocado in half and remove the pit. Scoop out the flesh and place it in a bowl.
  • Mash the avocado with a fork until smooth. Squeeze in the juice of 1 lime and mix well.
  • Add the chopped cilantro, diced tomatoes, diced red onion, cumin, chili powder, salt, and black pepper to the bowl. Stir until well combined.
  • Cut the burger buns in half and toast them on the grill for a few minutes.
  • Serve the burgers on the toasted buns with a generous dollop of guacamole on top. Enjoy!
