Ingredients
- 200 grams paneer (Indian cottage cheese), cubed
- 2 tablespoons ghee (clarified butter)
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2 tomatoes, pureed
- 10-12 cashews, soaked in warm water
- 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon kasuri methi (dried fenugreek leaves)
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- Salt to taste
- Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Instructions
- Heat ghee in a pan and add the chopped onions. Saute until golden brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and cook for a minute.
- Add the tomato puree and cook until the ghee separates from the masala.
- Meanwhile, grind the soaked cashews into a smooth paste.
- Add the cashew paste to the pan and mix well.
- Add turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add the paneer cubes and mix gently to coat them with the masala.
- Add kasuri methi and heavy cream. Mix well and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
