Ingredients
- 2 cups raw cashews
- 1/4 cup nutritional yeast
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp paprika
Instructions
- Soak cashews in water for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Drain cashews and add to a blender with nutritional yeast, lemon juice, water, garlic, salt, onion powder, and paprika.
- Blend until smooth and creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
- Transfer mixture to a cheesecloth-lined strainer set over a bowl.
- Cover and let sit at room temperature for 24-48 hours, until thickened.
- Remove from cheesecloth and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
