Ingredients

  • 4 duck fillets
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 2 green onions, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish

Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
  • Place the duck fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  • Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the duck fillets from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
  • Grill the fillets for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  • While the duck is grilling, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved.
  • Add the remaining marinade to the saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  • Remove the duck fillets from the grill and brush them with the glaze. Let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  • Serve the duck fillets garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
