Ingredients
- 4 duck fillets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish
Instructions
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, hoisin sauce, honey, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, and garlic.
- Place the duck fillets in a shallow dish and pour the marinade over them. Make sure the fillets are well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Remove the duck fillets from the marinade and discard the excess marinade.
- Grill the fillets for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- While the duck is grilling, prepare the glaze. In a small saucepan, combine the cornstarch and water. Stir until the cornstarch is dissolved.
- Add the remaining marinade to the saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat. Cook for 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
- Remove the duck fillets from the grill and brush them with the glaze. Let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
- Serve the duck fillets garnished with sliced green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy!
