Ingredients

  • 1 block of paneer, cut into cubes
  • 1 cup of plain yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon of ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon of garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon of cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon of coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 2 tablespoons of oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup of heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup of chopped cilantro

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, mix together the yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, and salt.
  • Add the paneer cubes to the marinade and toss to coat. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  • Heat the oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the onion and sauté until it turns translucent.
  • Add the tomatoes and cook until they are soft and mushy.
  • Using an immersion blender or a regular blender, blend the onion-tomato mixture until it becomes a smooth paste.
  • Return the paste to the pan and add the marinated paneer cubes. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Add the heavy cream and stir to combine. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with rice or naan.
