Ingredients
- 1 lb beef (thinly sliced)
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 carrot (julienned)
- 1 cucumber (julienned)
- 4 sheets of seaweed
- 4 cups cooked rice
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix together soy sauce, sesame oil, sugar, minced garlic, minced ginger, and black pepper.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes.
- Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the marinated beef until it's fully cooked.
- Remove the beef from the pan and set it aside.
- Place a sheet of seaweed on a bamboo mat or a clean surface.
- Spread a thin layer of cooked rice on the seaweed, leaving about an inch of space at the top.
- Place a few slices of cooked beef, julienned carrot, and julienned cucumber on top of the rice.
- Roll the seaweed tightly using the bamboo mat or your hands.
- Repeat the process with the remaining seaweed, rice, beef, carrot, and cucumber.
- Slice the rolled kimbap into bite-sized pieces.
