Ingredients

  • 2 lbs cow meat, cut into cubes
  • 2 onions, finely chopped
  • 3 tomatoes, pureed
  • 2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp oil
  • Fresh cilantro for garnish

Instructions

  • In a large pot, heat oil and sauté onions until golden brown.
  • Add ginger-garlic paste and cook until fragrant.
  • Add turmeric, coriander, cumin, red chili powder, and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
  • Add tomato puree and cook until oil separates from the masala.
  • Add cow meat and cook until browned on all sides.
  • Add water as needed and simmer until meat is tender.
  • Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with fresh cilantro before serving.
