- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup gravel (cleaned and crushed)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, brown sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract.
- Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
- Fold in gravel.
- Spoon batter into muffin cups, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of a muffin comes out clean.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before removing from muffin tin.
- Serve warm or at room temperature.
