Ingredients

  • 4 salmon fillets
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon corn starch
  • 1 green onion, sliced (for garnish)

Directions

  1. 1

Whisk together teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, honey, ginger, garlic, and brown sugar.

  2. 2

Marinate salmon fillets in the mixture for 1 hour in the refrigerator.

  3. 3

Preheat broiler and line a baking sheet with foil.

  4. 4

Remove salmon from marinade, pat dry, and set marinade aside.

  5. 5

Place salmon skin-side down on the baking sheet; broil for 5 minutes.

  6. 6

Simmer reserved marinade with corn starch until thickened to form a glaze.

  7. 7

Brush salmon with glaze; broil for another 5 minutes until browned.

  8. 8

Serve with remaining glaze and garnish with sliced green onions.

Chef's tip

For optimal flavor, allow the salmon to marinate overnight. This dish pairs excellently with jasmine rice and steamed broccoli.
