Ingredients

  • 1 pound dried black beans
  • 1 pound pork shoulder, trimmed and cubed
  • 1/2 pound bacon, diced
  • 1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced
  • 1/2 pound pork ribs, cut into pieces
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 cups chicken stock
