Perfect for those seeking a quick yet satisfying meal, this dish suits a variety of occasions and tastes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz lo mein noodles
  • 2 chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 yellow bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup snap peas
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon grated ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup chopped cilantro

Directions

  1. 1

Cook the lo mein noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

  2. 2

Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-6 minutes. Remove the chicken and set aside.

  3. 3

In the same skillet, add ginger, garlic, bell peppers, and snap peas. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are crisp-tender.

  4. 4

In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, sriracha, and sesame oil.

  5. 5

Return chicken to the skillet and add the sauce, stirring to coat the chicken and vegetables.

  6. 6

Add the noodles, toss everything together until well combined and heated through.

  7. 7

Garnish with green onions and cilantro, and serve hot.

Chef's tip

Marinating the chicken in a mixture of your favorite spices for 15-20 minutes before cooking can enhance the flavor further.
