Ingredients
- 2 cups sourdough starter
- 4 cups bread flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 cups warm water
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter, bread flour, salt, and warm water.
- Mix until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise for 12-24 hours.
- After the dough has risen, preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Place a Dutch oven or a baking dish with a lid into the oven to preheat.
- Once the oven is preheated, carefully remove the hot Dutch oven from the oven.
- Transfer the dough into the hot Dutch oven and cover with the lid.
- Bake for 30 minutes with the lid on.
- Remove the lid and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown.
- Remove the bread from the Dutch oven and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing and serving.
