Ingredients

  • 4 large baking potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Optional toppings: butter, sour cream, grated cheese, bacon bits, chives

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Scrub the potatoes clean and pat them dry.
  • Poke several holes in each potato with a fork.
  • Rub the potatoes with olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  • Place the potatoes directly on the oven rack and bake for 45-60 minutes, or until the skins are crispy and the insides are tender.
