Ingredients

  • 4 medium-sized potatoes
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • 2 green chilies, finely chopped
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder (dry mango powder)
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for deep frying

Instructions

  • Boil the potatoes until they are soft and cooked through. Peel and mash them in a bowl.
  • Add the finely chopped onions, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur powder, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
  • Take a small portion of the potato mixture and shape it into a patty. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
  • Coat each patty with bread crumbs, ensuring they are evenly coated on all sides.
  • Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated patties into the oil.
  • Fry the patties on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy. Flip them occasionally to ensure even frying.
  • Once the patties are cooked and crispy, remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
