- 4 medium-sized potatoes
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- 2 green chilies, finely chopped
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon amchur powder (dry mango powder)
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- Boil the potatoes until they are soft and cooked through. Peel and mash them in a bowl.
- Add the finely chopped onions, green chilies, turmeric powder, red chili powder, garam masala, amchur powder, and salt to the mashed potatoes. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Take a small portion of the potato mixture and shape it into a patty. Repeat with the remaining mixture.
- Coat each patty with bread crumbs, ensuring they are evenly coated on all sides.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the coated patties into the oil.
- Fry the patties on medium heat until they turn golden brown and crispy. Flip them occasionally to ensure even frying.
- Once the patties are cooked and crispy, remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel to drain excess oil.
