Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon Carolina Reaper powder
  • 1 cup beer
  • 4 Carolina Reaper peppers, sliced
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and Carolina Reaper powder.
  • Slowly pour in the beer, whisking until the batter is smooth.
  • Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
  • Dip the sliced Carolina Reaper peppers into the batter, shaking off any excess.
  • Carefully drop the peppers into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
  • Remove the peppers from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the heat!
