Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon Carolina Reaper powder
- 1 cup beer
- 4 Carolina Reaper peppers, sliced
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, cayenne pepper, and Carolina Reaper powder.
- Slowly pour in the beer, whisking until the batter is smooth.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 375°F.
- Dip the sliced Carolina Reaper peppers into the batter, shaking off any excess.
- Carefully drop the peppers into the hot oil and fry until golden brown, about 2-3 minutes.
- Remove the peppers from the oil with a slotted spoon and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve immediately and enjoy the heat!
