Ingredients
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 cups milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, and sugar. Mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
- Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
- In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.
- Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
- Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
- Pour the filling into the baked tart crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
