Ingredients

  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, butter, and sugar. Mix until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs.
  • Press the mixture into the bottom and sides of a tart pan. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • In a saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until hot but not boiling.
  • In a separate bowl, whisk together the sugar, cornstarch, eggs, vanilla extract, salt, and cinnamon.
  • Slowly pour the hot milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  • Return the mixture to the saucepan and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until thickened.
  • Pour the filling into the baked tart crust and smooth the top with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until set.
