Ingredients
- 2 duck breasts
- 2 tablespoons chima seeds
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Score the skin of the duck breasts in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to cut into the meat.
- In a small bowl, mix together the chima seeds, salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Rub the spice mixture evenly over both sides of the duck breasts.
- Heat the olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the duck breasts skin-side down in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes, or until the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- Flip the duck breasts and transfer the skillet to the preheated oven.
- Roast for 10-12 minutes, or until the duck breasts reach an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C) for medium-rare or 160°F (71°C) for medium.
- Remove the skillet from the oven and let the duck breasts rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
- Serve the chima seed roast duck breast with your favorite side dishes and enjoy!
