Ingredients
- 500 grams boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
- 1 cup chickpea flour (besan)
- 2 tablespoons rice flour
- 1 teaspoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/2 teaspoon coriander powder
- Salt to taste
- Oil for deep frying
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the chicken pieces, chickpea flour, rice flour, ginger-garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, cumin powder, coriander powder, and salt. Mix well to coat the chicken pieces with the spices.
- Add a little water if needed to make a thick batter-like consistency.
- Heat oil in a deep pan or kadai for deep frying.
- Drop small portions of the chicken mixture into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fried chicken pokodas from the oil and drain on a paper towel to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot with mint chutney or ketchup.
